It is, of course, wise to have regular planned maintenance. It will save you time, money and inconvenience in the long run. If you wait for problems to come up they are very likely to be serious. Planned maintenance will considerably reduce the risk of this happening and minimise the seriousness of anything that does go wrong. Essentially it is an aspect of asset management.

We offer a comprehensive planned and reactive maintenance service for all makes and types of door system, and we conduct a risk assessment to determine how often this should be done. For example, if a door only gets light use a suitable plan might be just once every year.

If it is busy at some times and quiet at others (say at a Budgens or Co-op store) twice a year would be more appropriate. For a very busy door (say a hospital door) the recommendation is three times a year. A risk assessment for a door used by vulnerable people, which will, therefore, require a greater frequency of maintenance, will indicate what we will offer.

Mike shaved a few Mills off two doors so that they opened properly on the new carpets. No fuss professional job from. An experienced employee. The quote for 2m of mopstick handrail for my staircase was a joke (£215). They must think people are really stupid to even quote that sort of price for 2m of handrail with at most 3 brackets and poss 15 mins work! Not impressed at all.

Had a few jobs done by DT fixings over the last few years, two UPVC windows to replace two old rotten windows, replacement of several “blown” double glazed window panels and soffits, fascia and guttering replacement. All the jobs have been carried out with minimal fuss, from coming to view the jobs for quotation to completing the jobs. They have always turned up at the times agreed, carried out the work with a quite efficiency and left the job site clean and tidy at the end. And the prices are very reasonable. As you can guess, I would recommend DT fixings without question.
